Towing the Duyfken up South Terrace
21st January, 1999

On the 21st of January, 1999, a feat of prodigious logistics saw the Duyfken being towed by a Brambles low-loader through the streets of Fremantle, accompanied by a joyous parade of drummers, dancers, school children, 'sardines', Duyfken Volunteers in their distinctive red shirts, bearing colourful flags, and a large Dragon float.

Were you there? You may recognise yourself in the crowd outside The Dome, or Timezone across the street. Our subsequent panoramas (Nodes 17 and 18) were shot from the rooftop of Timezone, visible across the street, ahead of the big red rig.

Tech Specs: We captured the images with a Canon EOS 620 camera with a 17-35mm rectilinear zoom lens, on a Kaidan QuickPan Magnum Head.
