Client: Women are I.T.
Women are I.T. (WIT) is a not-for-profit organisation of professional
women working in the Information and Communications Technology industry.
In March 2004, the WA Chapter of WIT Women presented the Go Girl,
Go For I.T! careers showcase, aimed at Western Australian girls
in years 9-10 of high school who might be considering I.T. for a career.
On this page are some scenes from the "Dream I.T!"
animation, which explores possible evolutions in the I.T. field 30 years
into the future.
"Holo Dolly", a QTVR
Object Movie of a Japanese doll was built to represent virtual shopping
by holographic projection on a freeform virtual console.
The animation had its first public presentation at the official launch
of Go Girl Go For I.T! 2004, held on December 10th 2003 at Motorola's
Nedlands office. The showcase was launched by the event Patron, Premier
Geoff Gallop.
